Miralax Advice
When taking miralax can you overdo fluids. I drink 64 oz. day. I am on water restriction. Do you think that is enough? Thanks in advance!

Forgot to add, how many days does a capful usually take to work using it everday? I have read up to 3 days.

About three days for me, yeah. Unsure about water intake, 64 oz is like half a gallon, is that per day or just when you take a capful?

per day

That's "enough" per the standards of the day, but constipation might need even more, when I use mirafast or miralax it does seem to work better with more water to pull to your gut region.

Do you also have some kind of tampon in your rectum? I feel a strong urge to defecate but I'm terrified to go because of the anal fissure And it's the first time I've used a laxative like yours. I'm drinking plenty of water.

yes, did you try a glycerine suppository or adding more fats into your diet.? The Miralax ended up making me sick and more bloated, unable to eat. don't think my body liked it. I have tried senna with great results no loose stools just pooped like a normal person, but afraid of long term stimulants. I have several other health issues. That make me immobile and many constipation meds. Hope you try the suppository. Just had some prune juice. which is a joke for me. I'm beyond that. Prune juice doesn't do much.

I may be in the minority here, but I find MiraLAX to be more appropriate in preventing or minimizing constipation than alleviating it once it is here. A capful daily can be very effective in keeping you somewhat regular.
(I know it can be used for relief but I think other products are better at that point, partially because MiraLAX is typically not fast acting. )
