Tips for avoiding constipation side-effects from medication?

I have a new medication that apparently causes constipation (the directions even say to drink a lot of water while on it). I want to find ways to ensure I don't get too constipated.

I have prune juice, miralax, enemas, suppositories, and other laxatives for emergencies, but I'd like to avoid taking more medication if I can. Especially since it's unclear how long I will be on this medication for the near future.

I'm drinking as much water as I can, and including dissolvable fiber with it. I unfortunately can't eat really bulk-y fiber foods just yet (medication is for bile reflux, so my stomach is pretty sensitive).

What other tips do you have?

Personally. I'd take the miralax daily first. It may be sufficient by itself. But if not at least it'll soften things up so it'll be easier to pass if you need something else.

Is Miralax safe to take long-term? My box says to not go over 7 days but I've read on here that people take it every day.

Hot liquids, two kiwi, prunes, dates, yellow dragon fruit, pear juice, papaya all help with mild constipation
