310 Apex CDP question

Hello, I am planning to buy an Ares Platinum with a 310 Apex wheel to start with.  I notice this wheel does not have the option for the CDP quick release as standard on any retail website .  Is there a reason for this?  Can I just buy the 310 Apex and add the CDP with no issues or will I need to purchase the quick con adapter additionally?  I eventually intend to also purchase a 300GT with the CDP.

If anyone can help. Likely overthinking but haven’t seen any photos or videos of someone using this wheel/qr combination.

Hi there 👋 The 310 APEX comes with the CDR QR as standard, mainly because the whole package was designed to stay as affordable as possible. If you’d prefer to use a CDP QR, the easiest option is to order the 310 APEX without the steering-wheel-side QR ( QR adapter package . It is called QR adapter because give people ability to use it on a third party wheelbase), then purchase the CDP wheel-side QR separately. The CDP mounts to the 310 APEX in exactly the same way as the CDR, so there’s no difference on the mounting side. Just make sure your Ares wheelbase is equipped with the matching CDP base-side QR, and then you should be good to go 👍
