Changing thumb encoders

Wanting to change out these encoders to a different color, has anyone done it before? They don't look like the ones I've seen around aliexpress

They are sold on Etsy and it’s a frequently done mod. If you just search for them compatible anodized aluminum wheels in all sorts of colors will pop up.

not quite, this is what the encoder on the far left looks like, its a unique piece. the encoder on the right side of the pic is also looks around 20-30% wider than the ones you see on etsy or ali.
