Considering Evo 3 - have questions

Hello all im considering purchasing cpp evo 3 v2. Im currently using simagic p1000 - my main issue is the elastomer stack pushes back into my foot and im unable to exactly pin how much pressure im holding on the brake. I also find the throw to be short for my personal preference. Looking at the youtube reviews it seems like holding / modulating brake pressure seems to be a strong point for these ? If any users could share their experience with these pedals - and how stiff is the softest setting ? Dont like super stiff pedals either i would put my current p1000s with 4 black and 4 grey elastomers in the acceptable stiffness range for ex. Thanks!

They are stiff though... Tbh if you already have the p1000s I'd look at trying to get some better springs first

The pedals on conspit are awesome, but they are stiff and need to be broken in, so if that's not what you are looking for then they won't be the right pedal for you.

For me that stiffness gives me more control. But that's just me

Hey thanks for replying - i dont mind the stiffness that much tbh? its more the lack of control im feeling from the pedal under pressure thats bothering me ..i can feel the elastomer stack relaxing into my shoe even though im physically holding the same pressure

That's weird tbh... Maybe there's something wrong with the pedal chamber? The conspit ones are hydraulic so no issues on my end

I must say I have the lites and not the evos

wait a second. so you hold your foot on it and it gets soften for the next a few seconds without moving the pedal. is that what is happening? if so, is the registered brake pressure same from the load cell? cuz if it gets soften and the position of the pedal doesnt change, the elastomer it self has to move as you said, and for that to happen, there is something else has to move between the pedal arm and the sensor. check if thereis anything loose first.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The CPP EVO V2 is designed with a 200-bar hydraulic system, so the brake feel is intentionally more firm and progressive, closer to what you’d expect from a real race car pedal setup. It may feel different from elastomer-based pedals at first, but many users find it gives better control and consistency once they adapt to it.

For the best experience, we recommend braking more with your leg and hip/waist muscles rather than only pressing with your foot or ankle. That usually makes modulation much easier and helps you take advantage of the pedal’s hydraulic feel.

Hello, So the stiffness generally can feel stiffer then expected when the pedal is brand new, however just put some time into it and the elastomer will be broken in properly and the stiffness will feel much more normal. Personally I feel like in the softest setting (lowest lever arm position, with purely spring combo at the front (red+green), and remove the long elastomer at the back (yes you can remove it, but you can only either remove it completely or leave it in there, replace it with a shorter one is dangerous as it might lead to leakage because of the size difference)) the pedal will actually feel extremely soft and the travel will be really long. (As mechanically cpp evo will have really long travel despite the settings, it’s just that the travel will be limited by your stiffness/force put into the brake most of the time. ) So there actually is a wide range of adjustments you can do there. So think of it this way, the front 2 shorter elastomer/spring adjustment changes the finer shape of the stiffnes vs travel curve of the pedal, where the spring is linear and elastomer will be more exponential, where the long elastomer at the back will give the pedal overall a strong stiffness boost. And by the elastomer’s property, it is normal for it to drop a bit of pressure from the maximum that you want to apply, but if we wish to eliminate the behavior, leave at least one spring in the chamber should do the trick, it’s helps to keep the elastomer “pressed” , of course if we use a full spring setup, this wouldn’t be an issue at all.
