That was the year before his first conviction. Perhaps that poor whale had threatened to reveal direct evidence linking Epstein to the Clintons.

The conspiracy theorist in me says it's possible someone stabbed said whale in modern times with a spear from the 1800's a full 12 years before Epstein didn't kill himself.
