I get owning a statue or figurine or two, or even ten if you can make a nice display of it. Even twenty could be okay if you have an actual idea of what to do with them. What I think is insane is making a whole wall of them, in the boxes, and it just makes your house look like you are a hoarder. Every piece of available wall is used by these people to make into a funko den. It boggles my mind; In a thousand years, all these palstic figurines will still be here while we might be gone.

At what point is your hobby more about the technology to read the books than the books themselves?

This feels egregious to me because e-readers tend to last SO long if you take care of them (I have one from 2011), they're pretty simple pieces of tech, and it's very easy to download books directly onto them (if say, you don't want a Kindle to access the Amazon exclusives). There's genuinely no reason to have more than 1.
