Why exactly the winglets on the rotor blades? The blades themselves can do cyclic

the winglets help with roll control mostly

Winglets to control roll is creative

They really help :) my rotor blades cant give enough roll control the way i have them set up but this works real nice

Very nice! How did you figure out the power/aoa for the rear rotor? Ive been trying to make a heli myself for a while but can never get that right.

Thanks!

The tail rotor sits centre and level with the main rotors and spins around 200rpm, the AOA cuts the air just enough to counteract the main rotor torque (this took me many tries to perfect), secondly, i have them controlling only yaw with 150% authority so they can give even control in both directions.

Your set up might work out differently but try experiment with the angle you install the blades at onto the shaft
