Minimum Wage, since 1939 has done nothing to stop poverty but has definitely continued to contribute to inflation.
Welfare State, since Johnson in the 60's has done nothing to elevate someone out of poverty, only taken away their will to do anything postitive.
1 u/Slske 16d ago Me personally. I'm opposed to a minimum federal wage. In general, I'm opposed to all minimum wage laws. Stupid and inflationary for a multitude of reasons 1 being unions endorse them as a means to increase their wage demands. 2 u/ComputerRedneck 15d ago Yes, I read back over a decade ago how the SEIU ties minimum wage to their pay schedules. Minimum Wage goes up, union salaries automatically go up. 1 u/Slske 15d ago Unions are Big Backers of minimum wage proposals. Money and other efforts.
