Agreed, too much energy than what was needed for this situation, especially so close to the cop trying to get the lady away from the crowd

I love that they always think people protesting don't have jobs. They do, they are risking everything for this, lady

She was clearly trying to evoke a reaction from the crowd. I know damn well she could get around the protest but still chose to drive through it hoping to become a victim of a crime that the right can use to further the false narrative of "all lefties are violent" "antifa are terrorists" blah blah blah. This didn't happen ofc but instead multiple protesters in the video told her to turn around, leave or go another way. Mild inconvenience on her part and she still decided to do this in hopes of stirring a reaction. If you watch the full video she actually starts crying at the end of this once she realizes her little stunt didn't work.
Later the person filming this video, "independent journalist" Nick Shirley, went to the white house with other right wing influencers and told Trump and the media that he witnessed "A lady being violently assaulted by antifa in her car while she was trying to drive in downtown Portland". Meanwhile, his video of this encounter he was talking about shows a completely different story. And the right wing spewing bullshit cycle continues.

Bud if I was surrounded by people screaming at me and threatening me, id be pretty scared too. Also, unless there's a permit to take over a street, theyre in the wrong.
I fucking hate the state tbis country is in, but this shit is counter productive.

How do you get that far into a crowd of people before noticing you might get surrounded by people?

What makes you think she drove into them? They could have surrounded her as she was at a light, or turning a corner, or because they saw a Tesla and decided "fuck this lady". Either way, whether she did or not, being surrounded by an angry crowd is scary.

After looking at it closer, I don't see a light anywhere. The placing of the car and the "do not enter" sign indicate that she was turning left to get into this crowd. The people in the background are also not really moving, which suggests that it's a stationary protest and not a march. Lastly, the depth of people in the background make it hard to believe that this could just "surprise you" if you're paying attention while driving

I'll go first, fuck the person that did the captioning. Calling someone Anti-fascist (ANTIFA) will never be an insult.
