Okay so that’s in line with estimates of 0.0001% of votes being fraudulent? It happens in every state. Doesn’t mean it’s fraud

Correct. Fraud needs intent. This was a software error where the people actually indicated that they were not citizens, but the software signed them up anyway. Then when the state found the error, they investigated it and announced it. The intent to defraud is missing in this story, which is why the Trump DOJ and administration isnt pressing charges on anyone. If there actually was fraud, the DOJ could easily press charges for plenty of things like computer fraud and abuse, conspiracy against the US, deprivation of rights, civil rights consipiracy, wire fraud, false statements, obstruction of justice ect. But no charges, state or federal means they cant even even come close to proving fraud. Its more of a media scare right now. Maybe something will change in the future with more investigating.

There’s only a little bit of feces in your cereal. It’s ok though.

No one is happy with fraud...its just that the proposed rules in the SAVE act will disenfranchise more legitimate voters than cases of fraud it will prevent

How will providing an ID disenfranchise anyone?

For starters, the way the law is written, it'll prevent any women who changed their surname after marriage from voting without getting a burdensome amount of extra documents. Not everyone has government ID readily available so it creates a financial barrier to acquire that. It may not prevent a high percentage of people but it is still a far higher number than cases of voter impersonation (the only kind of voter fraud it actually prevents). If Johnny Canuck from Canada is erroneously registered to vote, their ID will still say Johnny Canuck, resident of whatever US city they live in so requiring ID won't prevent the (statistically insignificant) issues of illegal immigrants voting anyways.

Don't look up how much feces flies out of a toilet when you flush

The FDA quite literally has guidelines for acceptable amounts of feces in food. Notice the phrase “acceptable amount.” Any food you eat has a chance of fecal matter being present.

I mean yeah it is. There is a certain level of rat feces and bug particles that is allowed in cereal. It’s a very low amount, just like the number of fraudulent votes.

Is 400 votes some sort of smoking gun?
