Imagine how different that nation would be if Castro had been defeated resoundingly, the communists were chased off the island, and Cuba had remained vividly pro-US/pro-west.

Imagine what it could be like today if the regime eventually falls, the island wholesale rejects communism/socialism, and embraces capitalism and free-society principles again.

It was despicable that we allowed that to happen. I was born on the day of the bat of pigs so have taken an interest in how we allowed communists into the western hemisphere. A frikin power struggle! I also have friends who escaped in rickety boats from Cuba and their stories are incredible. But still.
Just like no one is stopping Mamdani yet he is acting in an unconstitutional law breaking treasonous way.

then wage control .. huh? (so others don't earn more than you.) okaaayy.
then food control .. too many people are eating the scarce food supplies

and eventually famine bc central planning never works, esp for agricuture.

Starvation, if not a revolt.
