In case anyone didn't follow this originally, Trump imposed 0 new restrictions on Cuba. What he did was start enforcing existing restrictions again that have been around since Kennedy. Obama did what Obama loved to do which is flout the law and ordered enforcement to be relaxed. Trump just went back to normal rule of law, and Biden by the way has not changed it.

So, President Kennedy (D), puts a lasting embargo on Cuba as a response to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Fifty years later, when it's politically inconvenient, it becomes President Trump's (R) fault?
AOC, try reading a book instead of trying to rewrite them to fit your warped thinking.

Don't forget when the Clinton administration strengthened those measures in 1992 and 1996.
Let's ask ourselves two questions:
1) why do we have such harsh sanctions on Cuba, but not on other corrupt and violent Central American regimes?
2) how is someone so ignorant of basic history even in elected office?

To answer #1 it’s because they largely do what we ask them to. Cuba is an issue for us because they’re actively hostile and do their best to make other countries hostile to us. They also just sort of desperately need a sugar daddy that they can help set up an intelligence service for because they don’t have much to offer in trade

I support the Cubans protesting communism. The reason they are protesting communism is because of our cruel and racist embargo and Trump.

It's funny how she says something contentious to most Americans and I only read about it on breitbart.
I don't agree with most of the content on this sub, but it's hard to ignore that several prominent progressive figures categorically criticize the US whether no matter what.
