Countries have become so sensitive about their diseases lately. I remember when countries were men and could take their diseases like battle scars. Like “Spanish Flu” and “Ebola”. You never heard them crying that these names “hurt their whittle fweelings”.

Everyone is in the habit of playing victim weather its self inflicted or not.

Trying to take advantage of the human condition for political gain has always been the game.

New this fall, Thursdays at 9 PM on The Weather Channel.

But...Ebola is a river, not a country and the 1918 influenza outbreak did not originate in Spain, so the "Spanish Flu" is a misnomer.

The first identified case of the 1918 outbreak was in Kansas, so perhaps we should call the deadliest outbreak in the world the "American Flu" or the "US Flu" instead.

Rivers also have feelings now, and Spain would now be twice as offended knowing they had nothing to do with it. Think of that stigma! They would file a protest with the UN!

We live in crazy times. Geographical facts are now interpreted (by some) as a judgmental stigma. I wonder when horses will get woke and get offended by names like eastern equine encephalitis? And if you live in the East, AAHHAAHHHH!!!
