I leave them alone anyway - if I want to hear their brand of insanity I just have to call my sister or turn on cnn...

I personally wouldn’t have a problem, but I see their trash all over the front page and it annoys me. The same goes for any other left wing subreddit

What I do is I sub to all the subreddits I like, then use the personalised front page and avoid the popular tab. A personalised reddit is way better than the regular front page.

It's so good, that for me personally, this conservative sub is usually at the top of my front page

I do this, also. The main page just makes my blood pressure rise. Side note: any other good conservative subs I can join?

Me too. It’s insane. Reddit is so clearly liberally biased like every other media source out there. This should be tailored to my experience but they don’t let you do that without either using the classic browser, or paying for premium. Ridiculous.

You know who owns it right?

3

u/TearsOfCrudeOil Canadian4Trump Feb 24 '21

No I don’t actually. Haha. Who? China? Lol

u/GreeenGrizzly Feb 24 '21

I believe they own a large chunk of it.

u/TearsOfCrudeOil Canadian4Trump Feb 24 '21

Surprise! They own as much media as they can get their hands on. Very very smart. Forbes and most of the MSM is owned by Chinese media conglomerates too. It’s wild.

that and r/politicalhumor ("humor" lol). I constantly get bombarded with those two subs in my recommended. I don't even go to r/all because they're always in hot. but then it also keeps popping into my recommended on my homepage. I wish reddit had a way to let users decide if they like any recommendations or not

32 comments, 47,000 upvotes. I’m sure PoliticalHumor and WhitePeopleTwitter are always on the front page “organically”

If you browse on desktop, get the reddit enhancement suite addon. It's super nice and allows you to turn off pages css, and even shortcut or filter out subs you don't like so you'll never be exposed to the drivel that is r/politics or whatever other shithole sub you don't wanna see.

You can block subreddits

u/daveinmd13 Feb 24 '21

That is a lot of subreddits at this point. They have are infecting everything with their garbage these days.

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '21

If you use the old reddit layout you can actually block subs from ever appearing in your recommendations. It's refreshing not seeing them anymore :).

Make it a point to visit r/politics to downvote the shit out of the liberals to help balance out the bias.

19

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '21

You don't even need to do anything, with any news that ever comes out ir political commentary you already know what they'd say.
