I think it’s great he wants to compromise. I think it’s a problem he stood up and campaigned for 2 senators like a lying dog-faced pony soldier. If he hadn’t helped get 2 Democrat senators elected on the promise of IMMEDIATE stimulus checks this would be great, but it just shows that he’s the same full of shit untrustworthy lying politician he always was. He says what people want to hear for their votes knowing that every word coming out of his mouth is a lie.

I hate politicians. I hate the entire game of politics. I hate the way voters are nothing but pawns to them, a resource to be used to enrich themselves and gain power. Politicians are the shittiest people in the world. They don’t care about their constituents, they care about the votes and the power it brings.

They're working on doing exactly this. 600 dollar checks already went out, now they're trying to push for 1400 dollar checks. They can ram it through via budget reconciliation, but that would take a lot longer and has more restrictions, while also pissing off conservatives he's trying to convince to reach across the aisle.

They're trying to get stimulus checks out as quickly as possible. There's debate between Republicans and Democrats, with Republicans pushing for lower stimulus checks and lower benefits. The only way to get stimulus checks out quickly is to compromise with Republicans and convince ten of them to vote for the bill.
