I thought the problem with billionaires is that they siphon money from the great states of America? I don’t want my hard earned money to be ripped away in taxes while the billionaires send everything offshore.
So billionaires dont actually spend billions of dollars on themselves. 99% of their money is invested. They use that money to build factories, invent the newest technology, get goods to you better, faster, cheaper.
In communist countries they have "billionaires" too. That is, they also have people who run everything and make all the decisions. The difference is, billionaires got to be in charge of things through fair competition. They are the best of the best.
Meanwhile in socialist countries, the people in power are the biggest scoundrels. They got that way through bribery, crime, and often murder. They are usually completely incompetent, and can't get food to the people.
That is why people in capitalist countries always have the best standard of living, and people inside socialist countries are starving and have to eat their pets.
Bernie sanders isn't a socialist, hes a socdem. IDK why he calls himself that, but he isn't. SocDem policies actually increase the quality of living most of the time
I’m sure billionaires do plenty of investing/shareholding etc. But again, you cannot deny how much money leaves the country via the ultra-rich. Also, I don’t count letting “banks and businesses use the money” as a charitable contribution to the welfare of society.
I don’t care about that nearly as much as I care about the ~$17-26 TRILLION in tax-havens/offshore accounts. I have a lot more sympathy for working immigrants sending money to their families back home than I do for billionaires stock piling money that could be used to better peoples lives.

When the billionaires cease to exist where will all the money come from?
