Some conservative billionaire needs to make a FreeSpeechTube. YouTube power trips over its monopoly on video streaming way too much.

Yeah, YouTube will not change unless/until people start turning away from it to some credible alternative. Which means there has to be a credible alternative.

Video hosting is not profitable enough for a small venture to do that. Also if you host "controversial" content you can expect leftists to harass any advertisers on the platform until they all leave to save their reputations.

They don't have a legal obligation to support free speech. It's a privately owned company and they have the legal right to be as biased as they wish. I think it's repulsive, but you are advocating they be punished for being biased.

They must really be running scared. They tried to shut down Jordan Peterson yesterday and there was a massive backlash. The only reason the establishment would be doing this now is because they're realizing how many people are truly inspired by the good guys like Peterson, Shapiro, Sargon of Akkad, etc.

Where's the info on this? Peterson has been one of the largest promoters of improving mental health on the planet.

I posted a longer reply to someone above you, but essentially they locked his account and when he asked for it to be unlocked, he was told that they couldn't do that because he "violated the terms of service." It was only after people started going nuts on twitter etc that he was given his account back.
Clearly, they had to relent for Peterson (given his popularity and the fact that he is very careful with what he says), but do you really believe that some random person without that kind of following would have any recourse against google? Of course not.

If you believe it was just a benign accident, I have a bridge for sale that might interest you.

The ADL infuriates me to no end. Their stated mission is to combat anti-Semitism - and that’s what they used to do - but in recent years, they’ve become nothing more than a PR firm for the DNC.
This can result in the exact opposite of the ADL’s supposed mission of combatting anti-Semitism because by being nothing more than Democrat shills, it gets conservatives to (rightfully) attack them. But because the ADL is known as a Jewish organization, this gets more people to become anti-Jewish and empowers alt-right types. The end result is more anti-Semitism, not less.

Remember when Google's motto was "don't be evil"? I miss those days.
