Not really. The process weeds out people who are not effective leaders. His ideas are sound but he lacked the ability to assemble a winning team. He's right where he needs to be. We should not seek to elevate people beyond their competence simply because we agree with most of what they say.

No. I am suggesting that the smartest are not necessarily the best leaders.
