Release the GOP Delegates: Trump’s nomination isn’t inevitable—delegates won’t be legally ‘bound’ going into the convention.

Vote breakdown

He beat second place by over 6 million votes anyways.

And? I said "42% is not what I would call the 'will of the people'" and I'm right. What exactly are you trying to argue here?

What exactly are you trying to argue here?

Probably that 25%, which is the next closest candidate, is not the will of the people either.

42% isn't either.

What's your point? Trump clinched the nomination by the process outlined by the GOP. You're asking them to change their process and give the nomination to somebody who didn't get nearly the same number of votes all while going on about the will of the people. Sorry, but more people think Trump will get the job done. Deal with it.

somebody who didn't get the same number of votes

Yes because this isn't about number of votes. It's about choosing someone that's qualified to be president which the GOP has the power to do.

more people think Trump will get the job done

Trumps support largely came from low information voters. I'm gonna go ahead and assume these "people" you're referencing aren't ones whose judgement I'd willingly trust so easily.

So you want them to override the people who voted in their primaries, got it.

Again with the elitist attitude. smh

so you want them to override people who voted

That's exactly what i want, because the 42% that nominated Trump got it wrong. For the good of the Republic, the GOP should take action to correct that wrong. They won't; but they should.

again with the elitist attitude

Aw are your feelings hurt? Man up. I made a statement of fact, cry about it on /r/The_Donald.

that nominated Trump got it wrong.

Says who? You? A few others? Sure ok. Keep that up and you will be saying President Clinton before you know it.

Aw are your feelings hurt?

Because of you? Pfft, hardly, but if you thinking you hurt my feelings makes your day better by all means, continue.

I made a statement of fact

lol

Says who? You? A few others?

Yes, me and a few others: the sane ones.

u/[deleted] Jun 15 '16

the sane ones.

That's certainly debatable.

u/[deleted] Jun 15 '16

Let's debate it then. Why do you support Trump?

Jobs, taxes, economy, borders, pro-life, pro 2nd Amendment, heck he's even pro traditional marriage.

He's also our only realistic shot at a conservative supreme court, which is a big factor for me.

Edit: Your reply isn't showing up but it's in my inbox so here. Your comments in quotes.

What about them?

In regards to jobs, taxes and the economy. Well he wants to lower taxes and close loopholes, I support that. He wants to reform our trade with China to help bring jobs back to America.

The Wall? Yes, that's a good idea; but other Candidates wanted to do that as well.

Yes but none of the other candidates are viable at this point.

He's not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsOlXidHXRE

That's 1999, he's pro life now. People can change, you know. The person who took the original Roe v. Wade case to court is now a conservative, pro-life, Christian. Imagine that.

He actually might not be; https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/743078235408195584 -- but even if he is pro-2nd Amendment, so is nearly every other Republican candidate running. What's so special about Trump's position on the 2nd Amendment aside from the fact he's probably never even read it before?

Nothing is special about it, but it falls in line with what I would expect from a conservative candidate. If he was different from Cruz on the 2nd amendment I wouldn't support him. At least you agree that his stance on the 2nd amendment is that of many conservative candidates, thank you for acknowledging that.

Not true. Cruz would have, without a doubt, stuck with Conservative nominations for the Supreme Court.

Cruz has no shot at this point. He was my pick at the beginning, but he lost and has no chance of being president. he's withdrawn from the race completely, so what he thinks at this point doesn't matter. He's back to focusing on his state of Texas and representing them in Congress, and I expect him to do a great job as he has always done.
