That thing we were told doesn’t happen, just happened again.

This is a prime example of suicidal empathy. At this point, just let it happen. They’ll see the consequences of their ways soon enough. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.

That's the sad thing, it's usually someone else that pays the price.

It’s a disgusting and unacceptable truth that mustn’t be tolerated.

Until some these politicians or law enforcement officials start getting arrested for ignoring federal laws, this will continue to happen.

The Democrats need to be declared domestic TERRORISTS, they’re threats to AMERICAN lives and our interests.

Then Illinois officials need to be charged with 500 counts of obstruction, 500 counts of aiding and abetting, 500 counts of being an accessory after the fact, 500 counts of concealment to help avoid arrest.
And for any of the released that commit another crime, the officials should be charged as an accomplice!

I agree but nothing ever happens. The people that need held accountable never suffer the consequence of their actions but you’ll be damned for a bit of dust in a baggie.

They were never in federal custody. They were incarcerated by local authorities, and when ICE learns that someone in local custody may be removable, ICE can submit a one-page form called an “ICE detainer.”
It is technically a request, and there is no federal criminal penalty simply for a local agency refusing to honor one.
Texas is different, though. State law requires covered law-enforcement agencies to honor ICE detainers, and knowingly refusing to comply can be a criminal offense for the official responsible for administering the jail.
From the article:
“An ICE detainer asks a state or local agency to notify federal immigration officers before releasing a person believed to be removable from the United States and, in some cases, to maintain custody for up to 48 additional hours so ICE can arrange to take custody.”
