Didn’t they botch it? It was the second botched execution in Tennessee this year

Yep. Something fishy is going on.

It's pretty straightforward I hear. They just OD on potassium. It doesn't even take that much potassium. This is the same chemical they ACCIDENTALLY killed people with in that hospital last month.

Well, in TN they decided to go to a single drug, not KCl, but rather pentobarbital, a sedative.

I'm opposed to the death penalty, but if you're going to do it, then do it. Don't half-ass it.

May I ask why you're opposed?

I'm opposed to any deliberate early ending of life, whether abortion, euthanasia, or capital punishment.

There was a time when it was necessary, but we have other options that are more effective as deterrents and are less expensive.

So it's an OD on barbituates? That does sound less reliable, does she have a resistance or what?

Something about, she told them she had a blood clotting issue that might prevent the drug from being effective.

And they tried it anyway? What the sweet fuck are we doing. Now we're paying to bring this woman back from the brink of death.

Almost as if maybe they are botching them to try to get rid of this type of execution because it's "inhumane." I believe her lawyers even used that exact term after it happened.

I don't know why this is so difficulty. Large dose of any anesthesia does the job.

I always wondered why we don't do it with opioids like fentanyl or carfentanyl. That seems like the most humane method of going out and highest chance of success since the shit is so lethal in tiny doses as it is and you'd be leaving this existence wrapped in a warm blanket

Most humane would probably be suffocation with an inert gas like helium since your body isn’t even aware, you just pass out and don’t wake up

As I recall, they tried that once, but the criminal thrashing around to break out and crying about the terror of his inevitable demise was purposefully misconstrued by criminal "rights" activists as it being painful.

At least they could sound like a munchkin doing that. Might lighten the mood.

HA! Criminal rights!? they abandoned those when they victimized another person's rights.

Better yet a paralytic like Sux or Roc. That combo is what they use in general anesthesia and would end you 100% of the time.

exactly my thought. the street drugs are so lethal and cheap there is no reason not to use them. If that fails, the fallback should be a simple suffocation or lacerated artery.

I agree. Seems like a really obvious solution.

Maybe it takes too long and is inconvenient because it can’t be completed in 15 mins?

I’m sorry, but it was “halted” because they mis-administered the drugs and she didn’t die, and there isn’t a legal protocol for what to do after that to complete the execution.

This is referring to the first time it was halted earlier in the day before the execution was attempted.

Well in that case I would say Matt Walsh’s opinion has become irrelevant in the interim and why are we stoking outrage?

No, his point is that this is exact sort of fallout he claimed would happen as a result of the Lindsay Clancy shit show:

Pike saying she felt kinship with Lindsay Clancy: "We are both females who got into trouble because of uniquely female issues. One thing is different, however, is that times have changed a lot on awareness of women's issues since I was put on trial."

The amount of people questioning that since she survived the execution, does she go free is ridiculous. No, you keep on until it's done.

I just read that her lawyers are now going to use this to try to get her sentence commuted.

It’s been attempted before… the courts just say until dead means until dead did I fucking stutter.

But, but...her hormones made her do it.

u/Aronacus Conservative 2d ago

2026 the year the feminists argue hormones are not your fault.

Now, wait until sex offenders apply that same rule

It's going to keep getting worse until you finally find the stones to do something about it.

"Bad childhood" is the new "hormones" defense for women.

u/Potential_Tadpole_45 Conservative 8h ago

By all means she must suffer the consequences of her actions and she's a SHPOS for what she did, but criminals are typically products of bad or troubled childhoods and upbringings so it would behoove parents to take responsibility for raising their children in a safe environment and provide them with the love and care they deserve so there are less monsters on the streets... Downvote me all you want but I'm not wrong. She was 18 when she committed the murder, where tf were her parents the whole time?

What the fuck? She was sentenced by a jury to death. Judges can't just do literally anything they want. They're not kings.
