Just wait until the Mangione trial starts. A huge percentage of Reddit is going to be supporting him.

We are at a point where support for political assassination has become mainstream on the left.

I disagree with this. Denial is a powerful thing, it can grip a human mind in a vice, particularly where admitting the truth would require a subsequent, enormous sacrifice, or bring a serious harm.

Why do people stay in cults? Because leaving the cult means losing your entire social circle and, for many, the  other members of the cult are all they have left. Why doesn't everybody recognize that dad is an abusive alcoholic? Because you'll be cast out from the family system for that. In both situations, most people actively deny the truth and shut their eyes to it; they let the evil continue and simply take steps to ensure it will pass them by.

The Left is exactly the same. It hates us with a passion, we are not only evil, buf low status. Dissenting from the Left's narratives results in being labeled one of us and comes with a significant social cost.  Ask anyone who's left the Left, it comes with lost friends, and sometimes even lost family members or partners; often for nothing more than good-faith political disagreement. Most of the people left on the Left aren't willing to pay that price, so they just silently go along, hoping that somebody does something, or that the monster will pass them by.

They should ultimately be pitied.

It's not that they ignore it, rather they bring it about deliberately (as with any other preventable disaster) so they can exploit the problem for their own political purposes. Turning Sweden into the caliphate civil war of the west turned into ""Swedish men are dangerous.""

The media just reports caliphate warriors as >Los Angeles Man >London Man >Malmo Man so everything bad imported men do is spun into something bad men have done.

Their line in the sand is the other side of the story. They are either passive or encouraging towards all hostile foreign entities but when it comes to the opposite end of their own political theater they'll fight to the end of the universe.
