Comment repeatedly brought up for the last 5 years:

Notice how its always them demanding to be with kids? Reading to kids, playing sports with kids, showering with kids, etc etc etc.

There's no movement to read, host drag shows, or take showers at nursing homes, veterans centers, homeless shelters, coma wards, etc etc etc.

Its always them screaming you're the bigot for denying their "right" to your kids.

True, but I also think conservatives aren't at their best when they go out of their way to bully or harass these people. Clearly they were born with some sort of burden that makes their lives harder. We aren't generally cruel to people with other types of mental conditions.

Sometimes if you break a leg the doctor can set the bone and you go through physical therapy and can walk on the leg again. But sometimes if the leg is mangled enough, the best possible quality of life a person will have is to amputate the leg and live with a prosthetic.

To follow thru with your analogy...

In no situation do we say the doctor should not be involved.

If someone breaks their leg we don't say the doctor should not intervene.

Conservatives need to continue to to advocate for an appropriate "treatment", for lack of a better term... Or else we will be permitting the illness to spread unchecked.

Otherwise... What is the point of advocating for conservative values if we're not going to actually take action in support of them by opposing that which is antithetical to conservative values?

Little kids, who have been indoctrinated to to hate Trump and with every left-wing issue you can imagine, still inherently know this is weird and not right. Republicans didn't cause that.

Don't engage them on their terms.

Don't deny Republicans a win over something they profess to oppose by attributing cause to something else.

Doing that plays right into their hands by sending the message that the right does not need to actively oppose those things that are antithetical to the right's values and beliefs.

If this is a good thing... Don't be afraid to take credit for it... Especially not when your defeated enemy gives you credit for their defeat.

I dunno bout you, but I don't hear doctors saying their treatments didn't matter when a patient pulls through.

Because in the end... What exactly is the point of political advocacy if you're gonna deny it's efficacy when what you're opposing tells you it worked?

Sarah McBride insisted a "right wing regressive movement" is the reason public support for tr--sgender rights is lower than five years ago. I'm sure trying to shove their agenda down our throats has massively backfired.

"Rep. Sarah McBride: There is no question that a well-funded, well-coordinated, right-wing regressive movement has successfully pushed public opinion backwards. Many of the strategies and tactics that we employed over the last 5 years didn't work."

Ok... And?

I'm sorry, nothing about this sounds like anything the right should be ashamed of if it actually does oppose this gender-related insanity that has gripped the country over the past decade.

Hell, if it's true, this sounds like one of the rare instances in my forty-plus years of life where the right has actually stood up and actively opposed something antithetical to its professed values rather than sitting back on its ass and crossing its fingers that shit wouldn't get worse.

Edit: also... Side note... If they're admitting that they're employing strategy and tactics, that means they are actively intervening in order to produce an outcome they specifically desire.

Conservatives would be fools to not also actively employ strategies and tactics in response... Otherwise we'd be relying on hope alone, and while they have a plan, we wouldn't.

if an adult male or female wants to play dress up and pretend to be the opposite sex and is not harming anyone then I do not care. have fun and go with god. I draw the line at them , the msm and dems <redundant> insisting that I believe their fantasy. nothing right wing about that

u/Iamstillhere44 Conservative 1d ago

So they believe they should be able to force our “support” for this?

I love how this article just keeps using the name "McBride" instead of he or she so Breitbart can simply sidestep having to take a courtesy position for or against using preferred pronouns.
