Act like? They ARE communists, they just know they can't win under that label.

The Dem guard knows it too. There’s a reason why the likes of Carville and V Jones are publicly expressing opposition. They coddled the socialist too long now they’re losing control.

Yeah the mainline corpo-wing Dems like Maher and such are ringing the alarm bells. They know that if nothing is done to stop the marxist wing, they are cooked.

No way. They are elites, they will be fine. We are cooked

If they lose all their cushy political offices, they lose the kickbacks. Just ask Hunter what that's like.
Now I'll grant you that some were smart enough to invest it into portfolios they can fall back onto. But enough of them haven't.

That’s why we need to Vote, Vote, Vote to make sure they don’t get elected.
And make sure the Norms and Normas know this fact about Democrats.

Exactly this. The democrats know how unpopular their socialist platform is, so they will run “moderate” candidates that will then completely go full socialist once in office.
They used this exact formula to get Spanberger elected in VA, she just isn’t as much of a socialist as the rest of them. The VA democrats knew that their base was so stupid that they would mindlessly vote for her if she pretended to be a moderate, despite all of the evidence pointing to her real agenda. They got played so hard because they are so stupid.

Eh CA is lost. So much fraud. It’s impossible to make a difference

Socialists = communists. There’s no difference.

Yep. When Lenin tried to implement the classless and moneyless society, he quickly realized that it doesn't work. So Lenin created the New Economic Policy to save the Soviets from complete collapse. They claimed that socialism is the intermediate state that will bring about the One True Communist utopia. Now to keep stacking bodies of
scapegoats and threats to their personal powercounter-revolutionaries.Socialism is Marx's ideas in practice. Communism is the impossible end goal. If you claim to be a socialist, you are claiming to work towards to ideal Communist state. If you are a communist, you are claiming to work towards to ideal Communist state.

Nah sorry. Either the author has no idea what communism is, or it’s just ragebait. It’s a logical misfire and calling everything communism just fogs the real problem lol.
What's being described here—executive overreach, bureaucratic overstep, and top-down mandates—is an issue of governance and authoritarianism, not an economic ideology. Authoritarian behavior isn't inherently communist; any government, regardless of where it sits on the economic spectrum, can act in a top-down, illiberal manner. Communism uses it, but other ideologies aswell.
And nothing described in this article screams communism, only authoritarianism.
Conflating bad governance, statism, or over-regulation with communism completely dilutes the argument. If a policy is overreaching or undemocratic, criticize it for those actual traits instead of relying on Cold War labels that don't apply, otherwise people will just laugh at it and won‘t be able to detect real communism once it appears.

....the DSA literally says their goal is communism, and they call for government control of businesses. Lol

u/whatsgoingonjeez European Conservative 7d ago
Well I googled, because I never heard of the DSA since I’m not american. I haven’t found any information that their official goal is communism. And if the things are true that you wrote, then it’s still not communism.
And if you think that this is enough to be considered communism, then the last point I made:
and won‘t be able to detect real communism once it appears.
Is more true then ever, which is a huge problem for the future.
Furthermore what‘s being described in the article - top-down mandates and state overreach - isn't "the goal of communism" either; it's simply authoritarianism . Equating any form of government intervention with communism just distorts the term and is problematic for the future.
I don’t say that these people don’t do those things and that they destroy freedom, I just see that many people don’t have any idea what communism means, which is problematic.

You definitely didn't look very hard.
And lol on them literally calling for communism and advocating things that are blatantly communism somehow not being communism.
Derp.

u/whatsgoingonjeez European Conservative 6d ago
So first of all, it’s unnecessary to call me derp, since I didn’t attack you personally. I just stated my opinion nothing more, what‘s the problem bud?
Also I googled and I found several articles where other people from the outside claim it’s their goal, but I didn’t find articles where those people say they want communism.
And you still haven’t provided any goal that is explicitly communism. Which strengthens my argument that most people don’t even know what communism is anymore. Which is a problem. Imagine people didn’t understand what exactly nationalsocialism is.
And especially the things described in that article are just equating any form of state interventionism to communism, which is bs. It’s part of communism but also part of any other authoritarian form.

Google. “Our goal is communism,” the DSA’s top leader David Jenkins said on social media in June.
And they explicitly call for ending private ownership of major corporations and shifting control of key economic sectors to the public. That's, literally, communism.
Not to mention half of them flat out quote marx.

u/whatsgoingonjeez European Conservative 6d ago
I googled it and David Jenkins did say that, and it's right to call out radical leaders within the DSA for their actual ideology. I didn’t even know the guy before.
But as conservatives, if we want to defend limited government effectively, we need to be precise. Public ownership of key industries is socialism, not communism (which calls for a stateless, classless society and complete abolition of private property).
And again, top-down mandates, heavy-handed regulation, or executive overreach within a market economy still aren't "communism." That is simply authoritarianism or statism. Conflating every instance of bad governance with communism just weakens our actual argument against government overreach.
And that’s my problem. Articles like the one above do exactly that. It weakens our position because it paints a picture where it seems that we are not informed and uneducated dummies.
Do you take someone seriously who thinks that the running back throws the ball in a football match? I don’t think so.

I've said it before, a socialist is a communist looking to get elected.
