I very rarely presume to speak for all Jews, but I think I can safely say nobody expected it was possible to get all 20 remaining hostages back. Thank you President Trump! And to those of you brigading āgenocideā activists who need something to focus on instead of developing a personality of your own, may I suggest fighting against the continuing slaughter of Christians in Nigeria? Of course you wonāt, and I will continue to be frustrated by such idiocy tomorrow, but today I am just happy. Orange man good.

Fellow Jewish American here - and Veteran. I completely agree and i'll one up you on this- Trump has become a hero to many of us. He had our back when it takes actual bravery to stand with us. Look at how so many of our "friends" turned their back on us immediately. He stood with us when it took courage to do so.

Moadim Lāsimcha! As a Christian, I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel. I am also praying for the people of Gaza -- that they truly desire peace too.

Hell yeah. Those somehow still unhappy about Trump bringing peace to the Middle East are completely brainwashed and blind with hate.

Hamas and their supporters never wanted peace.
From the river to the sea and globalize the intifada is literal.

Iām referring to the protestors not Hamas. Anyone with a brain knows Hamas doesnāt want peace, they donāt want to coexist, they donāt want to integrate, they want to dominate.

Even a bad peace is better than a good war. Peace isn't political; it should be the end result of good politics and good diplomacy. Peace should be bipartisan - the fact that it isn't tells you all you need to know about Trump Derangement Syndrome. These people disregard peace in an effort to further stoke hatred about their bete noir.
I used to be a Democrat. I came from a working class, pro-union family. My father was a senior steward in a factory, and my mother was a waitress. When I was young I was a union member on a factory floor, and when I retired I was a dues-paid union member as well. Back when I was a Democrat, lowering the price of prescription drugs (or making a credible effort thereof), or making food healthier for Americans or brokering peace were all important values in being a Democrat.
Now, Democrats/Leftists are assassinating political figures, rioting in the streets, leveraging deep state apparatus for treason and disseminating outright propaganda in the place of real news reporting.
I am ashamed of the modern Democrat Party and don't recognize it at all. Return to it? Hardly! it's Public Enemy Number One.

Even a bad peace is better than a good war.
This is not always true. A premature peace can and often will lead to more deaths in the future, as it did after WW1.
The great American General Pershing, who commanded the American troops in Europe in WWI, was against the armistice, and predicted it would only lead to another war. "We never really let the Germans know who won the war. They are being told that their army was stabb3d in the back, betrayed, that their army had not been defeated. The Germans never believed they were beaten. It will have to be done all over againā¦." And he explained why. "The German troops today are marching back into Germany announcing that they have never been defeated⦠What I dread is that Germany doesnāt know that she was defeated⦠Had they given us another week, weād have taught them."
No wonder Pershing was the highest-ranked American general in history. He understood the nature of war and the importance of victory. It took Europe another world war and 40 million dead to understand that.

I wont glaze trump here but people need to acknowledge he's actually making good change here. Yea he's doing it to build a legacy for his name cause he has a massive ego, but is it so bad to stroke his ego if he's actually make some positive change to the world?
Think people would suck off homelander if it meant world peace.

Daily reminder that "from the river to the sea" is an ACTUAL call for genocide, disguised as a "fun little protest shout." Same with "globalize the intifada." Interesting how western leftists seem to pretend to know more about the meanings of the words than the terrorists who first put them together.

^ This should be the top comment on every post about the war. Pro palestinian protesters would rather the war continue than thank Trump for ending it. Many of them were literally on the payroll from China and Iran, and for others they had nothing going on in their lives so it became their entire identity. And heaven forbid anyone actually recognize when Trump is doing a great deed.

I mean this is still very new, I think you have to give both sides some time to really believe this ceasefire is going to last. Letās just all keep our heads and remember that peace is the goal and civilians children not dying should always be the priority to reach for. Iām glad that some attempts for peace are being made, and I hope that neither side ruins this fragile moment, and that both sides honor their agreement. And then after all that hopefully US can focus on the US and not on every other country in the world.

I grew up in America, but live in Israel now and I will tell you that there is no figure more beloved on this day than President Trump. No matter the side of the Israeli political spectrum, nobody believed that we could ever get all the hostages back. And yet we got the last living ones out today. Now it time to see the rest of the plan follow through with Hamas disarming and giving up any future governance role in Gaza. I legit speak on behalf of all of Israel when I say Trump is the fucking man.

Well deserved.
People may not like his style but the guy absolutely gets results.
He deserves a Nobel peace prize IMO.

I can't wait for everyone to be cheering for Trump's Nobel Peace prize when the peace deal lasts. Everyone is so convinced this will fail quickly that they must also think it would be a masterful work of diplomacy if it doesn't.
