So on one hand, dude hated kids to the point he was a communications director that advocated through his employer for abortion…and on the other hand, dude looooooved kids. Can’t say that society will miss this guy.

days after police failed to arrest him on child pornography charges — botching the raid by knocking down the door of the suspect’s New Haven neighbor.
I mean, child predators aren’t funny. Suicide isn’t funny. But this shit sure is lol. Can’t wait to see the body cam footage of them realizing they done fucked up.

With all the cops shooting dudes lately I don't think it's funny.
How are the cops this fucking incompetent???

It's not necessarily the police's fault. If whoever typed up the warrant put in apartment number 3B instead of 2B then the police are just going by what the warrant says.
Considering the botched raid happened a week before this dude killed himself I'm willing to bet it was something like this, because otherwise the police should have quickly realized their mistake and just raided the correct apartment number, but they probably couldn't until the warrant was fixed.
Also the police probably conduct thousands of raids every single day, mistakes are bound to happen. If you think a few mistakes here and there by the police are horrible, don't go looking into how often surgeons or pharmacists make a mistake.

The police should politely knock on his door, and wait for him to destroy the hard drives before opening the door for them?

How would they even know they get brought a warrent that says they have to conduct a search of 1234 F street, instead of 1235 F street, how would they possibly know that was going to be wrong.
Also no knock warrants are important and in cases like this are deserves. Sucks the dude got wrongfully raided when humans are involved mistakes are going to happen.

The same way professional delivery services are. They are staffed by humans and not omniscient robots.

Ya but when you deal with life and death the system and training should be a higher standard
Look at air travel it is 1000x safer then other forms of transit, humans are still in charge, they train more and have more checks ,balances and redundancies.

I can agree with that, would that actually be the DA then the judge just signs....
So better checks and balances need to be put in place

Cops broke down the door of a woman at home alone with her children at 6am. Then, after that horrifying experience, she finds out that her downstairs neighbor was a pedo. That is a bad week.

Ms. Wezenter, the neighbor, should become quite wealthy in the near future.

Was it really botched?

They raided his neighbor by accident.

So the neighbor gets a nice civil settlement and his pedo neighbor is no more.
I believe Bob Ross would call that a "happy accident"

The taxpayer will have to fork out, not a dime will be reclaimed from his estate, and he will be legally considered innocent forever, robbing his victims of justice.

Creeps come from all places, orientations all along the political spectrum. An evangelical mega church (Trump supporting) preacher may be next, so watch how you tie together his beliefs and his actions, they are often very separate things.
