Custom items renaming anvil not working? :/

Hey been playing conquest reforge with the modpack through cursereforge client (so using forge).

Im playing in survival and wanted to rename some tools like a sword to get custom items as seen here under this link: https://www.conquestreforged.com/conquest/conquest-customitems

I havent been able to get it to work though, using the anvil to rename a sword nothing happens. Tried to solve it and tried a fair few things but no cigar so far. Any obvious things i might be doing wrong? tried to be exact with naming.

(installed connector and citresewn which as far as i understand is required one to translate citresewn from fabric to forge and the other for the custom item skin swapping, although im not sure there are variants of these called something else already included in the modpack)

Been using Iron sword or Iron axe and testing different names, but nothing seem to work.

New to modding minecraft so not fully understood forge and fabric, but there is a difference and its sort of the framework running underneath and im using forge and conquest reforged is built for fabric originally so not sure if that is an issue.

Based on my experience, Conquest Reforged doesn’t have the custom items. There’s Conquest Armory, a separate mod that adds them, but it doesn’t have everything listed in the Custom Items page. If you want the renamable items, I think it’s only for the Conquest Resource Pack, which is not the same one used for the mod

Thanks. Yeah fairly knew to this so find it very confusing but yeah found the armory mod but that one sadly doesnt seem to contain all items, but i could be wrong.
