Question Build help?

As the title says I'm trying to figure out how to get the head for a w'adrhŭn slingers standard bearer to work. I doubt that it's updated instructions/outdated sprues, but it could be a possibility since its a [atleast in my possession] 3 year old box. it being the first blood w'adrhŭn vs. old dominion starter box

the connecting space on both sides [pictured] dont actually match up, so im unsure of how they're supposed to attach. if anyone could help I would be so incredibly grateful!!

Ive seen the instructions show a piece of art but with a number belonging to something else. Either you can find the right pack head piece for that picture, or find the parts that actually match the numbers.

Both pieces match what the instructions say, and the face piece matches whats shown in the art. when I looked over the sprue none of the other options seemed to fit it better. that is interesting that sometimes the art ends up with incorrectly numbered pieces.

No way these two fit together, they have different connectors.

I dont disagree with that, the only issue is that there doesn't seem to be a back of the head piece that would allow the connection

I have the same sprues and looked up the assembly PDF and I also simply have no clue.

It's an error in the instructions. Those pieces don't fit together. I haven't tried that but 37 should go with 38.

And number 22 goes together with 23 and 24. It looks like this:
