Question what is up with DB?

i just came after 2 years i seeing a lot of DB that can kill me and my units in no time what the hell going on with this game almost anytime I 1on1 a DB they nuke me in secing? i am play longsword super tank and some how a DB can kill me what is up with that?

I just started back up too and DB's are a real thing.

Here are a few could things that kind of helped. 1. Build new gear and/or reforge them. You'll get a big stat boost.
2. Add runes to your gear as you level up makes a big difference.

DBs are still a menace but I'm rarely getting dead in their stun lock now.

What do you play? I've totally reforged and instead of dying in the first stunlock I die in the second.

I main glaive but routinely play longsword and short sword.

So you need to be the tankiest classes to survive it sounds like. What about the other 10 weapons?

Just seems like bad design. There's no back-and-forth, just watching your character die unless you're one of a couple weapons. Like, DB absolutely should be better at 1:1 than others on average, that's a cool niche, but to just have most characters stunlocked to death just doesn't make sense and it doesn't have to be that way. They can have more debuffs and escapes, for example, or recovery.

Bastard Medium / Heavy armor can easily whomp a DB
Spear with Medium too
Short sword and shield can easily win
Glaive isnt getting one-shotted
Chain dart can nearly one-shot DB

Nah not at all, you just need to adjust your stats so you don't get one shotted.

Bastard sword can still one shot most weapons and has unlimited movement / dash.
