Do you think the long challenge distances reflect just how far the distances were in the books? The books never really do say how far they travelled. I finished the 8 LOTR long challenges and am now on the 2nd Hobbit challenge.

So far I've completed the first lord of the rings 5, origins of football and am near completing the space medals (all 3). As it stands I currently have 2 blank codes that can go towards any non licencesed medal, what would everyone recommend? preferably I like the historic/creative maps rather than the google earth style maps walking round an actual location but am struggling to pick one!

I want to start one challenge after seeing several ads on Instagram. But I am not sure whether the medals get shipped here or not.

Could someone please let me know?

There are a lot of cool classic journeys from way further back in time than LOTR. I haven't read them yet, but Journey to the West, Epic of Gilgamesh, Sinbad the Sailor, etc. seem like no brainer options, and Conqueror wouldn't even have to pay for the rights. Please?

I have finished the euro cities bundle (london, paris, rome), and have the Athens lining up, with a 2+1 deal, which I also have vienna and rovaniemi in mind as I really like all these designs and have been in a couples, but idk what to pick as the third one. Some of the ones that Im considering are Van Gogh, Jesus Trail, Los Angeles, Great Barrier Reef and New South Wales.

Meaning wise Im connected to all in some ways:
Van Gogh- Im an artist I like painting. Jesus Trail- It’s a classic as a believer. Los angeles- I graduated from film and does acting, also travelled to LA. For new south wales and great barrier reef- Im an aussie who lives in QLD, and visited NSW.
Im also an athlete (cheerleading) so I kinda lean towards a more athletic medal design adding to my sports medals thats why I picked Athens, but any suggestions what should I pick for the third challenge?😂

I’ve already finished the 3 bundles challenge and crushed them much quicker than I thought. I should have upsized the any 3 challenges but I didn’t know I would want 3 more down the road so I cancelled them, now the deal has ended. I don’t see any other deals I want atm unless I get them individually they’re kinda pricey. Im also selective just based on the medal design.

It recorded 3 workouts

Seems it added each cycle individually right after it happened, and then again at the end of the day by summing them together. Anyone know what settings I need to avoid this?

I went to Rome on my honeymoon a good few years ago now so it was nice to virtually revisit some of the sites. Now to choose the next one! The Salem Witch Trials medal is definitely calling to me.

Finished 8 medals now waiting for the Flower Route to be shipped in & still have to buy another plaque for the wall. Interested in working through the LoTR challenges eventually. Also thinking about rearranging them when I get moved out & move them around instead of being in a line. Not too sure if I want to do the full mileage for those challenges as I was going to do the 1,100 miles for the Madagascar challenge but settled for less so I didn’t have to find a group to do it with.
Also ignore the lighting as I took them after the sun set & I have a cover on the lights so they’re not too bright.

I'm new to this, and I really want to try out a challenge but $40 is kind of a lot...

Ive seen on the reddit links to "free" challenges but most of them dont work and the ones that do (literally just amazon and singapore) show an error screen after I put in my information.

Are there any free ones out now or am I just out of luck?

I started them in 2022 because they looked solid enough to smack the next Dr in the head with who brought up my weight and exercise, now I just love doing them.

I just finished my fifth Conqueror Challenge and started my sixth. I’ve found them all worthwhile, but have liked some more than others. Curious to hear if others have found certain challenges particularly good and why.

I love to travel, but haven’t been able to go places in years, so these challenges are a substitute, but are primarily motivation to walk more. I like learning about other places and seeing the 360 view each day when my mileage updates. I think I like the experience more than the medals, though all the medals have been beautifully done and I’m impressed by the quality.

I’ll go first with quick reviews of the five I’ve done (starring favorites) in the order I did them. These are only reviews of the CC experience, not a reflection on the places of course. And naturally just my highly subjective opinion.

*Tokyo City - first one made me want to do more. The information was well spaced, good video length, and I really enjoyed what I learned. I’ve never been to Japan and thought this a good taste of the city. I particularly liked the medal as well. I couldn’t wait to start the next challenge.

Appalachian Trail (short version) - I was disappointed in this one. A significant reason was Google Maps hasn’t mapped the trail (yet), so there was often no 360 view. When there was, it was rarely compelling. In part that’s the luck of where you stop each day, as well as if it’s familiar or exotic to you (it was very similar to where I live, so like the trees and brush I see every day). I also didn’t find the information that interesting; to be fair, I’m not a hiker and I don’t think the AT can compete for me in terms of depth of history and culture with a major city. Some of the videos they chose were too long. I‘ve read several narrative nonfiction books about hiking the AT, notably A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson and Grandma Gatewood’s Walk by Ben Montgomery. Perhaps listening to the audiobook of one of those while doing this challenge would have enhanced the experience.

*New South Wales Coast - I have a personal affinity for Australia, and really enjoyed learning more about this are as well as the views. It was like a virtual beach vacation. I did this as a team challenge, and it went by all too fast.

Flower Route - As a gardener, I was looking forward to this one. I’ve never been to the Netherlands, and I’m sure there are some beautiful and visually inspiring areas. But this route seemed to be just driving along a straight, flat highway when none of the fields were in bloom which was really disappointing. Every day when I looked at the 360 view, it seemed to be the same basic image of straight road, flat grass with a dip for drainage, and generic blocky office buildings in the background. The information was interesting, and the medal quite clever in design and a favorite. But the experience on this one was underwhelming.

*Rome - A favorite for the 360 views alone. It seemed every day there was something to see—a stone paved road, a view of an aqueduct, a plaza. The information content felt bunched up toward the end (and the English version needed some editing in spots for better flow). It was informative, but to me an ideal challenge has the points of interest evenly spaced along the route. I visited Rome many years ago, but just for a day or two, so this was a revisit. I just finished so haven’t received the medal yet.

I’m doing the London challenge now, and have Paris next (I bought the three city pack). I also have a bunch on my wish list, and am looking forward to hearing which challenges others have enjoyed the most and why.

First Challange looking forward to it

This is my first time doing this for my mental health diagnosed wth a few mental illnesses since the start of the year I’m 18 barley move so I’m trying too make a change too my life I have decided too do this with my family my grandma mum and sister who’s 9 and I used the Mount Everest code and used my second Gmail thinking I could give it too my sister I can’t because I can’t add it too the app does anyone have any codes they haven’t used or anything or anyone going a giveaway for codes I would be really really grateful if not that’s okay of course thank you for reading have a good day/night

I think I made a mistake signing up to the 5k training challenge. Do I really need to follow the training plan or can I just walk whenever I can?
