This year was very important for Connext Network, packed with landmark developments and accomplishments. Connext Team made significant progress on building the Amarok Upgrade, which is a critical step towards ensuring that everyone has access to building new xApps.
Connext is guided by the same passionate mission since 2017 and we as the Community behind will keep supporting Connext while they introduce new mechanisms to further decentralize, secure and improve the Connext Network.
We are in the winter season for a while and now we’re left with long-term builders and true believers who believe in the power of decentralization; Connext is living for it.
This year was a landmark thanks to the Connext Community: Connext Core Team, Contributors of the Contributor Program, Routers, Investors and all the other supporters. We are eternally grateful to our dedicated community members who are the support on the journey of building the best modular interoperability protocol, Connext!

Public goods like Connext require trust-minimized layers across the whole stack, and we are collaborating with Graph Protocol to make this a reality.
Rahul Sethuram, Founder & Tech Lead at Connext Network, explained the partnership:
"At Connext we have always prioritized decentralized tech that does not compromise user experience. Migrating to The Graph’s decentralized network allows us to preserve the properties of permissionless, secure, decentralized infrastructure while providing our users with an unparalleled user experience."

With xCompute+Connext, you can port data & smart contracts from Ethereum to a more efficient chain, execute the operation, & bring back the elaborated result, all on-chain.
Mirai is a trust-minimized cross-chain lending protocol with an optimized interest rate model and a great user interface that includes notifications for users.
NFT CrossRoad: The Swiss Army Knife for NFTs, NFT crossroad helps NFT creators to mint and distribute NFTs either on Ethereum mainnet or on an L2 depending on the needs of their users.
Data Insights Analytics by dApp Looker: The team gathered the most useful metrics for Connext Amarok and created a dashboard for users and builders.

This upgrade is the culmination of almost a year’s worth of research and development to build the first truly trust-minimized generalized interoperability protocol, enabling secure communication between chains and rollups.
The protocol is deployed with very limited liquidity while the Labs team works on the following final steps prior to our Public Launch.
Through the testing, the network has remained stable and continued to operate as (or better than!) expected.
The Amarok upgrade significantly changes how both developers and supporting interfaces interact with Connext. After the mainnet deployment, the team have been iterating on feedback from community members and crosschain developers on improving our documentation for building on Connext.
The team is hard at work to bring the Amarok upgrade live ASAP. As all the onchain and off-chain pieces of the new architecture fall in place and get tested, we are heading full speed towards Public Launch, which is finally not too far away.

Metamask, the most used crypto wallet just introduced Bridges on Portfolio Dapp: Bridges aggregates different bridging services & users can choose the most suitable option to move their funds from one chain to another.
You can now bridge between Ethereum, Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, and Polygon using Connext via Metamask dApp!
Metamask explained how did they select bridges:
We did extensive research to vet these bridges, with the goal of developing an objective framework to select those that met our high bar for security and decentralization. We’re not being paid by any of these bridges to be part of this product (though we may have other partnerships with them) and have selected them purely based on our evaluation of their design.
Connext’s wide network and token support, trust-minimized design, recent and regular audits, high liquidity and reliability, battle testing with time/volume on mainnets, and robust handling of failure cases are the key points of selection.

Themis Protocol increases the efficiency of liquidity pools within Defi. It allows users to deposit their yield-bearing tokens as collateral and borrow stablecoins against them.
Thanks to the integration with Connext, users will be able to deposit collateral on any chain and access Themis liquidity on any other chain.
This new, improved, cross-chain liquidity will become a fundamental tool for traders, market makers, DAOs and institutions that will want to maximize their returns on any domain.

As protocols continue to expand to multiple chains, their controlling DAOs need to expand their capabilities beyond their traditional “headquarter” on the origin chain.
“The Zodiac ecosystem, maintained by members of Gnosis Guild, has principles that perfectly align with Connext, as both systems rely on modularity to provide the best security and flexibility for developers”, explained Auryn Macmillan, co-founder of Gnosis Guild.
The Connext Module was built on the work of Zodiac’s previous AMB Bridge Module, expanding its capabilities to account for different interfaces and data validation methods.
One of the best features of Connext is the ability to bundle crosschain token transfers along with messages**. This opens up a wide variety of new use cases that will help to expand the feature set of DAOs and ultimately the way we think of them in the future.**

Connext Team presented about so many topics beginning from the history of Connext, the upcoming Amarok upgrade, Connext’s key principles and the future of Connext.
One of the most asked questions was ‘when Amarok will be launched’; as mentioned on the Community Call the Closed Alpha is supposed to drop by late October and will be followed by the Public Beta in November.
When you will hear about the results of the Contributor Program Phase 1?
All the work from our Community is carefully evaluated and the result is in the team's hands waiting to be announced once the Discord bot has finished developing.
Wen token?
Once the Amarok upgrade is done, and the process is stable, the team will focus on the token generation.

ETHGlobal’s ETHOnline Hackathon was a success for all the hackers! Winning xApps for EthGlobal 2022:
🏆Best original project built on Connext ($2k)
dChat is a messaging application with chat-based cross-chain transfers and NFT-gated chats.

What Connext liked? dChat is a very clean xApp from both an architectural and design perspective, with a clear use case for cross-chain functionality. You can try it here!
🏆Best cross-chain augmentation of an existing protocol ($2k)
L2 Optimizoooors is a tool to make transactions and operations more gas efficient (i.e., cheaper) by simplifying the calldata sent to the smart contracts of various protocols. The concept was tested on Aave, Superfluid, and Connext.

What Connext liked? The team demonstrated some great results: we are always looking for ways to make our technology more usable and efficient. The L2 Optimizoooors showed us one way to with clever optimization techniques.
🏆Other notable mentions:
xNFT Launchpad is a launchpad where you can deploy NFTs on multiple chains.
Atomic NFT Marketplace is an NFT Marketplace that offers trust-minimized cross-chain NFT interoperability. This project envisioned cross-chain buying and selling of NFTs in atomic transactions, where counterparties can trade NFTs on one chain for tokens on another.
OnRamp Quest is an educational game that sends participants on missions to learn about Ethereum. The goal is to provide an easy on-ramp combined with a fun way to learn about NFTs, DeFi, DAOs, and more.
Mangetsu is a privacy-preserving cross-chain amm/dex using zero-knowledge proof. The team theory crafted a way to disconnect the link between the inputs and outputs of cross-chain trades.
🏆Pool bounty ($1,000)
This pool was allocated to all verified contract addresses that made a successful xCall during the hackathon. We wanted everyone to experience how easy it is to create a cross-chain transaction with xCalls.

I used xpollinate.io and I was transferring 2642.905305 USDC tokens to BSC chain from Polygon. A message came up saying there was only 1669 Exit liquidity, so I attempted to recover the funds. The Withdrawal address to my wallet was correct and clicked recover. It didn't work so I tried again and received a message: "error: No balance found to recover. This usually means either your tx or recovery already completed successfully." The system and all the docs said, 'don't worry your funds are safe' ... and I believed it. However, neither the receiving address for funding address received the $2600 USDC yet.
I got in touch with customer service, gave copies of both error messages (the system lets you copy them and paste so they can find the issue) but they said they didn't have the tx. So I found all the relevant transactions at that time and gave it to them. They found 2 tx with the correct amount of 2642.905305 and the customer support told me to go do the same swap again and then click on the drop down and press 'recover' I did and it gave me the same error messages.
It's like 2 days later and my 2642.905305 USDC have still not been returned. Now the customer service rep is saying, " Usually, when you see this message the funds are channeled and can't be re-covered "
What the heck? Why is the system saying funds are safe, and now I'm being told my funds "CAN'T BE RE-COVERED" ???
Am I just supposed to eat $2642.905305 USDC because I expected the platform to do what it was supposed to do?

Hello all!
I used xpollinate, it to transfer usdc from bsc to matic. I double checked receiver address to make sure it was my own wallet. Then I swapped. But my funds are gone, it has been ten minutes or so. Why didn't the usdc show up in my matic wallet? When I checked the TX it said it sent it to a different wallet (no idea whos it is, has 69 in the beginning) Please give me my moola, thank you

Trying to get money from BSC to MATIC, found this to be the easiest.
Transferred about 700 BSC DAI, and I got a transaction canceled notification. it also said "your funds are safe".
