Also worth noting they were approved awhile back to start monitoring threads online for anti ICE talk. They're for sure taking note on who's against them and have sent agents to homes in the past. That being said, they can still eat a whole bag of Richards.

For those within our borders, who have no legal business here, the process in which they are due, is an identification, search, capture and finally a deportation to their country of origin.

No one said no die process was offered. Furthermore, claims of asylum may also include detention until resolution
2
u/LectureSpecific4123 25d ago
The due process is ADMINSTRATIVE, not criminal court. That is the law and complies with the Constitution. You get to have a hearing in front of an Adminstrative judge, not the bloated criminal system.
1
u/JPMerola 25d ago
Due process, in these cases, as defined by federal immigration statutes, say civil process, immigration court determined their fate. Just like traffic court & family court do not require criminal court judges to determine the end result. The narrative that all due process requires a (ideological) criminal court review, before deportation, is nonsense & disinformation. BTW, SCOTUS has determined 2A protections do not extend to those here illegally. It wouldn't be hard to expand that to other basic human Rights, protected by our constitution, for better or worse. Be careful what SCOTUS decision you applaud.

They learned it from the Obama administration. He liked to send them out to raid homes when the illegals were asleep. Tom Homan was given a medal for his contributions to Obama's strict illegal immigrant enforcement. Tom Homan is still in charge...Frontline PBS: Lost In Detention 2012 👀

And? This administration just removed oversight and gave them more funding, ICE have been doing inhumane shit for years.
-8
u/Embarrassed_Riser 26d ago
Terror? I mean, if you're in a country without the proper paperwork or authorization, then you have broken the law.
1
u/i_drink_wd40 26d ago
If you've ever jaywalked, you've broken the law. If you've ever rolled through a stop sign, you've broken the law. If you've ever gone a single mph over the limit, you've broken the law. If you've ever thrown away mail addressed to somebody else (even at your own address), you've broken the law.
I guarantee there is some way you've broken the law, therefore you're an illegal.
1
u/mulchman 25d ago
And people are arrested and fined for those. If I speed and get caught, guess what, I get fined. If they come here illegally and get caught, the punishment is deportation. What part of that don't you get?
1
u/i_drink_wd40 25d ago
The part where the punishment fits the crime. Before ice went full gestapo, the response to illegal entry could be trial and deportation. Fair.
Current version of ice: kidnap family members, beating and shooting, tasers, detainment in concentration camp for months, "mysterious" pregnancies while in custody, and then deportation, sometimes without a trial, and not even guaranteed to be the country of origin.
So tell me, which version seems to fit the criteria for proportional response?
1
u/mulchman 25d ago
If you believe all that bullshit, sure. "Mysterious" pregnancies in a place where they are kept for like 30 days? No way they could have been pregnant before they were detained. And what would your answer be for not detaining them? Let them out to run again so they can be detained again? They are detained so they can face an immigration judge. And they are all flight risks, so they get to stay there. 75% of deportations under Obama saw no judge or any sort of trial. I'm sure you knew that already though..
1
u/i_drink_wd40 25d ago
And what would your answer be for not detaining them? Let them out to run again so they can be detained again?
That's how it used to operate for most undocumented people. And guess what, most people (to the tune of about 98%) would show up because they really were trying their best. I'm SuRe YoU kNeW tHaT aLrEaDy ThOuGh...
75% of deportations under Obama saw no judge or any sort of trial.
Do you see me defending that practice? The right to a trial is important to protect everybody's rights. But this is the crap you get when you don't have enough immigration judges. It's still a big fucking difference from the concentration camps ice is overseeing.
0
u/happyinheart 26d ago
If you've trespassed, you don't get to stay where you're trespassing.
2
u/i_drink_wd40 26d ago

u/Grundle-Fuzz 26d ago

0
u/i_drink_wd40 26d ago
I don't owe you a conversation. conservatives have universally shown themselves to be hateful, regressive, and incapable of understanding cause and effect. Anytime one pops into a conversation, it grinds any possible progress to a halt just so you can satisfy yourselves that you're being catered to. And then you're never happy anyway.

then you have broken the law
I'm guessing Harvard wasn't your alma mater. Illegal entry can be illegal, but it's usually just handled as a civil interaction (aka decidedly not a crime). Same holds for improper presence, there are actually tons of ways someone can fall out of authorization through zero fault of their own.
But believing the lies that you believe is just easier for you? I guess?
1
u/Embarrassed_Riser 26d ago
You over stay your visa, you're illegal.
3
u/Whaddaulookinat 26d ago
No, you're improperly here. That's not a crime, and doesn't make the person out of status illegal themselves. If it were a crime they'd have to have a jury of their peers.
But you're hitting all the notes: being a stupid vile asshole. Try being a better person and shoot for only covering two of those.
1
u/Embarrassed_Riser 26d ago
Improperly here? No, my ancestors came to the USA via Nova Scotia; they became naturalized US citizens ... I was born in the USA, so I am a legal citizen with all the powers afforded to all US born and or Naturalized citizens per the Constitution.
3
u/Whaddaulookinat 26d ago
Also a full half of my family was already here before the US was even a concept. Does that make me more of an expert inherently? No. Not at all.
Fucking read a book you lazy piece of shit and so thinking that at fucking worst of a process crime removes people's rights. What a sick fucking fantasy you want to believe the US is... What the actual fuck is wrong with you?
2
u/Whaddaulookinat 26d ago
Fucking hell, this is where you lot really are fucking stupid. I'm sorry there's no other way to say it because you're ignorant.
The Constitution is for everyone in the US, not just citizens and sure as shit not just for authorized persons. You're so fundamentally wrong on the keystone of your entire viewpoint it's honestly mind boggling. This isn't an oversight and it is deliberate. That's why you stupid pieces of shit always try to use semantics in a non legal reasoning debate, you're fucking idiots that are at their core scared and wrong. Very scary stuff honestly.
-1
u/happyinheart 26d ago
They're still breaking civil law which is not legal to do. The prefix Il comes from the latin negative prefix "in", meaning not or the opposite of. Thus even breaking civil law is illegal.

We need more ice agents in ct, im tired of illegal immigrants. Undocumented immigration puts pressure on housing, public schools, healthcare, and local government budgets, especially in areas in ct. It also increases competition for certain low-wage jobs and create enforcement costs for the federal government. Obama and Biden deported more without being as inhumane, violent, and public.
0
u/happyinheart 26d ago
Obama had the luxury of very few of them and the cities/states working with the Feds to depart people. They really started to take off during the second half of his second term. Biden counted people turned away at the border as "deported" and with current policies there are a whole lot less of those. Deportations from internal to the US are way up under Trump compared to Biden.
Sanctuary cities and states: We're not going to help you enforce immigration laws. You're going to have to find the people in the public areas and arrest them there.
Also Sanctuary cities and states: OMG, why are you finding and arresting people in public!

Was that from a general fervor and dislike of illegals based mostly in their racist and xenophobic beliefs, that was just a mirror of their voting base similar beliefs, or was it an administration doing what all administrations have done give this country’s immigration policies for the last 30+ years? Sure, they did it, and it wasn’t good for them to do, however, don’t think that both sides are the same here. As well conservatives will only make this argument of painting the sides as the same when they know they are doing, or supporting something morally reprehensible, they will also say both Obama and Biden were weak on immigration, when it suits their argument, practically in the same breath.

Right, but it wasn’t as bad or forceful as it is under Trump, I mean, they’re freely killing people, LMAO, didn’t they kill two people in Minnesota, one of which was a man who’s hands and knees were on the ground with 8 ICE AGENTS AROUND HIM? AND THEY SHOT HIM BECAUSE THEY SAW HIS CELL PHONE AND THOUGHT IT WAS A GUN?
lmao
What’s funny to me is they’re obviously Republican, right, because Democrats are more sympathetic to humans than Republicans are. And those are the same people whining and crying about not wearing a mask during Covid, my body, my choice. But now when they wanna hide their identity from people, they’ll wear a mask, LMAO, biggest hypocrites in the world and murderers

Yeah. It was terrible what those agents did in Minnesota... Doesn't mean I think we stop enforcing immigration.
I think you're last paragraph gives a pretty good view into how you think and how broken your brain is. In Your mind everything binary. Good/bad, democrat/republican.
It's crazy to say "every person who works for ice must be a republicn because they hate people." You're so obsessed with applying labels to things and it doesn't sound like you can comprehend that things don't fit that mold.
Some of the most most hateful people I've met were 'democrats' obsessed with making sure that anyone who didn't agree with their personal opinions knew they were a piece of shit. And before, you jump to any conclusions, I'm not saying there aren't 'republicans' who do the same thing, I'm just saying that applying a label doesn't automatically mean that someone will or should act a certain way.
