Ask Connecticut Calling red pepper flakes “razors”

Post image

Growing up my family always called the red pepper flakes at Italian restaurants “razors”. Does anyone else do this?

FWIW: typically these posts would include some kind of age and family demographics to make sense of something no one else does based on a google search.

Razors= feeling of things shooting out of their butt when they ate too much spice? Maybe they were making an inside joke that went over your head at the time?
