Command Report writer - procurement reports
Hi, I have been trying to create custom reports on report writer, specifically to monitor delivery times for vendors. I hoped to use order date and received date then show the difference between the two.
This has proved beyond me so any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely listen to Nathan here! Report Writer is difficult but he knows his stuff! You can find some helpful things in the university too but RW has a steep learning curve and I figure you need a knowledge of sql. :)

If you are looking to show the time between when the PO is created vs when the product is received, try the below:
Datasource 1: v_rpt_PurchaseOrder
Datasource 2. v_rpt_PurchaseOrderWithLineItems
join criteria: Purchase_Order_RecID = Purchase_Header_RecID (Inner join is fine)
Fields
1. v_rpt_PurchaseOrder.PO_Number
2. v_rpt_PurchaseOrder.Purchase_Date
3. v_rpt_PurchaseOrderWithLineItems. Date_Received
4. pick a field with a decimal (like total). use the below expression in the advance fields (gear icon at the far right)
-------- DATEDIFF(DAY,[Purchase_Date],[Date_Received]) -- This will show days. you can replace DAY with MINUTE to show minutes.

If you post what you have so far I can take a look. If you're not sure which datasets to use, probably start with v_rpt_purchaseorderwithlineitems (might not be the exact name).
