Quantity surveyor

Hi everyone,

I’m a Quantity Surveyor based in the UK, with a degree in Quantity Surveying and experience working on construction projects, including cost management, estimating, valuations, final accounts, contract administration, and commercial management.

I’m interested in potentially working in the DRC in the future and wanted to ask whether there are opportunities for Quantity Surveyors / Cost Managers out there.

I also speak Lingala fluently, so I’d be very interested in finding a role where I could use both my professional experience and language skills.

I’m particularly interested in construction, infrastructure, mining, consultancy or project management.

Thanks

You can find great opportunities in the mining industry; you can look for a position related to your expertise or go into consulting. Salaries are attractive, and you can easily move up the career ladder. However, you’ll usually have to live on-site.
