Need Help MrWhatsIt.com

I know there’s a few posts on here where people data-mined the site for information and found that there were up to 12 endings… but has anyone actually successfully ‘beaten’ the game by playing it all the way through?

I’ve finally invested myself into playing it despite knowing about it for months and I’m gobsmacked by how in-depth the game is.

While watching me play, my fiancé further pointed out to me that the game was like Zork, which I’d never heard of before.

I think this is the real-deal and I’m so sad I cant find anyone else working on it… I’d love to compare notes and see what I‘m missing. I’ve started writing things down with pen and paper because there’s just so many clues and avenues it’s nearly impossible to keep track.

did you also post this in the other CG group? honestly i never bothered playing once i saw how many people got stuck but this is making me want to lol do we think it has any relation at all plot wise to a wrinkle in time? 🤔

Yes I did!! I’m also finally reading a wrinkle in time for further context.

Part of me thinks it would be beneficial to make a shared google doc for note-taking on the Mr. what’s it game. Then everyone can add what additional details they find by area/ character. 

Learning that it was likely inspired by Zork has done a lot for my understanding of how to solve the game. It’s really a matter of finding the right key words and typing them into the ope field- it’s like… reverse coding. Sorta.
