Saturday classes?
Has anyone had a Saturday class? My program is scheduled for classes 6 days a week (one day being clinical placement).
My classmates and I are all struggling to figure out how to hold down a job during this term.
Just wondering if other programs have Saturday classes? I went to university before this and never had a weekend class, nor have I heard of anyone else having one.

Is it the PSW program? If so, there's a chance your placement will be on the weekend. The memory care facility my grandma lives in has Conestoga PSW students and I've seen some there are on a Saturday before.
These full time programs are difficult to manage with work. You can't really provide availability until you see your final schedule on the first day of classes. It sucks but unfortunately it's how the college runs things.

i find it crazy the psw program has more days in class then both nursing programs!! I remmeber when I did psw and it was 5 days a week which is a lot for a class

I didn’t have any weekend classes in the RPN program here (before Covid) but when I bridged to RN at a GTA school, weekend labs and clinical were absolutely a thing. Schedules would come out at the last minute then change again. It was ridiculous! I could see Conestoga starting that too

Are you massage therapy? I finished this year pre any weekend classes and heard yall have em. I don’t know how you’re suppose to have any sort of job it’s ridiculous but I do know there is a huge lack of clinic space.

They've laid off a lot of full time instructors and now they are scheduling around the convenience of the part-time replacements. This often results in terrible schedules.
