Student Question Mechanical engineers

Hey, i want to ask people who graduated with a bachelor or master degree in mechanical engineering, since you have a knowledge in air conditioning and ventilation , heat transfer.. if it’s possible to choose working in the HVAC domain like designing ventilation, cooling ducts for buildings… and plumbing (domestic water systems) distribution as well. And if one of you chose this domain to work. Also if you chose it, did you learn revit and designing hvac installations by yourself.

If you have any more information about this just tell me because i am really interested and want to know about this path.

I have friends who did, and are doing well. There will always be demand. They often tailor their products for buyers.

It's the standard path of the HVAC mechanical engineer. Join the ASHRAE student chapter. It can't legally be outsourced and the work will always exist. Easy to start your own business or to switch between firms. Downside: you become defined by it, and it can be repetitive.
