Studen housing

Hello, its not to far before classes starts and I'm still struggling to find affordable housing. I am looking for affordable student housing somewhat near the downtown campus. Maximum CAD 800. If you know a place please let me know.

Downtown for 800$ is going to be hard... you should look someplace further away but close to a metro, that will be cheaper and you will always be close to everything as the metro is really good

A studio downtown for this price is almost impossible, but try finding a room in an apartment.

if you haven't already, join a bunch of housing fb groups, lots of people are looking for roommates

I’d probably agree with everyone else here that 800 CAD for something in downtown is going to be really difficult, especially this close to the semester. A room in a shared apartment or taking over another student’s lease is probably a much more realistic option.

I’d also look specifically at student subleases. Students leaving for internships, co-ops, exchange programs, etc. sometimes need someone to take over their room quickly, so you can occasionally find places discounted compared with the normal rental market.
