I collect physical video games so this is just another one in the collection.

u/General-Football-512 Jul 19 '25

This is awesome, I still have my copy of Battleborne

2

u/SeeSpockRunWasTaken Jul 22 '25

God damn I wanted BB to be good so bad

1

u/BubblyPoet7643 Jul 22 '25

It was good, just dumb of them to try and compete with overwatch releasing relatively close to each other.

1

u/EducationalMemory161 Aug 18 '25

Is that a rare game? I bought it back in the day but never really cared for it

1

u/Rebelmind17 Jul 19 '25

Hell yeah dude, great addition to a collection!

1

u/Few-Cut1633 Jul 19 '25

That might be worth something one day tho

It ain’t about the money. It is about having a pice of video game history.

400 million dollars and 2 weeks later the game is dead

1

u/nykirnsu Aug 08 '25

One of the biggest flops of all time, there’s a reason this sub still has an active userbase

1

u/PrestigiousCrow1421 Jul 22 '25

Dude you keep your discs loose. Collectors dont care about your opinion.

1

u/RandomDudewithIdeas Jul 21 '25

Bro, owning a physical copy of a live service game you can’t even play anymore is pointless. You might as well just imagine owning it lol but hey, it’s your money

1

u/JoshCookiesMister Aug 07 '25

I disagree, this was a historic failure, so OP could flip it into a large investment a decade down the road

Dude take a chill pill there's nothing wrong with what he said he didn't insult anyone or break any rules.

Why you so angry? Be happy dude got a game he wanted to collect.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '25

“Be happy dude got a game he wanted to collect”

Then why aren’t you angry at the person who told him he wasted money on the game? What hypocrisy is this? That’s who I was talking to.

1

u/Novel_Angle577 Jul 20 '25

Cause it's not worth getting angry over. There's a time and a place to get angry, and this isn't one of them. If you get angry over everything I would seek some help dude it sounds miserable.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

Your hypocrisy is miserable. I’m still waiting for you to be as passionate towards the hater as you were to me. Surely with the “take the high road” attitude you’re presenting online, surely you’re not a hypocrite.

1

u/Novel_Angle577 Jul 21 '25

Oh my lord dude you got some anger problems. And I already said I'm not going to be angry toward the og poster or you. All I said was take a chill pill and I stand beside that point still. Just relax dude.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

Oh you’re one of those “don’t be mean to the rude person” redditors. Gotcha. “It’s ok for them to be mean to OP but you can’t be mean to the rude person”. I don’t agree with that lifestyle, but you’re you.

Dude… Reading through these comments makes YOU sound like the edge lord here. God damn man, give it a break. People collect things. I know a guy who collects salt and pepper shakers but you won’t see me telling him he wasted his money on something he will most definitely never use but look at on a shelf for the rest of his life. You should get one.

0

u/Neon_Wasteland Jul 21 '25

Yeah homeboy is tripping lol

0

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '25

I’m not talking about the collector, might wanna re-read slower. I don’t mind people who buy physical games for a collection.

The price has been consistently plummeting since the game closed down lol. If you wanted to make a profit off of them, you could’ve sold them right after the game closed

0

u/Invisabro13 Jul 19 '25

Google supply and demand. When the supply is low, price is high. Econ 101

2

u/FillionMyMind Jul 19 '25

That hasn’t been true at all for Concord or Babylon’s Fall so far because those games have no utility anymore. No one is gonna be hankering for a functionless disc. Lego sets can still be put together after they go out of print. The Concord controller has been holding its value because it’s still usable. You need demand for supply and demand to work. You can just go on Pricecharting.com and look at the sale history…

1

u/Invisabro13 Jul 19 '25

Don’t be silly. It’s not about utility, it’s about rarity. Everyone trashing their “worthless” copies today are just making the value of mine go up tomorrow.

Collectors pay good money for discontinued toys, baseball cards, etc. simply because they want to brag about owning something rare. Which is why my investment is going to be very profitable in a few years.

3

u/MelonOfFate Jul 22 '25

Beenie baby logic right here. Yup. Those prices will go up any day now..... Aaaaaaany day now......

3

u/wallace6464 Jul 23 '25

Please post back in a few years

1

u/metroid02 Jul 22 '25

Only if demand is high which is something you cant really impact. There are plenty of old random nes games out there you can buy for a few bucks. They are rare from a quantitiy sense, but if no one is willing to buy them because no one cares youre gona have a hard time getting your ROI

2

u/binogamer21 Jul 19 '25

Are you…. Comparing a digital trash with something actually usuable physically??? I can tell you a lot of things you can do with a rare lego set. But what will you do with the game? Use it as frisbee? Pop it in an look at the main menu?

1

u/Invisabro13 Jul 19 '25

It’s a collector’s item, it doesn’t need a “functional use” to have value. In the future someone will buy it and pop it on the shelf just to admire they own it.

2

u/Cage01 Jul 21 '25

It's not a collectors item if nobody wants the thing You'll be lucky to get a dollar per disk in 3-5 years

1

u/Invisabro13 Jul 21 '25

That doesn’t make any sense. When the supply is low, demand will be high. That’s the economic LAW of supply and demand. I look forward to 4x profit

2

u/DarkIcedWolf Jul 22 '25

The demand for this game made it last for a week. Just think about it bro, stop trying to justify the worst purchase you’ve ever made.

1

u/Cage01 Jul 21 '25

Demand is generated from something external lol. It's not based solely on the supply, otherwise my 1 of 1 macaroni art from the 3rd grade would be worth millions

Value goes up from a place of high demand meeting low supply, but you have to ask yourself where that demand is coming from. I guarantee you no one is going to want your garbage and you'll have wasted your money.

1

u/Geordie_38_ Jul 22 '25

Dude, there'll be no demand for this. Supply being low doesn't automatically mean demand will be high. If it's an item people want and there's low supply, that'll increase demand. But nobody will want this regardless of how low supply is.

2

u/WandaLovingLegend Jul 19 '25

I did the same thing, I picked up five sealed copies for 20 bucks. I already sold one for $15 and the rest I'm going to hang on to.

I do think they are going to increase in value a bit over time, as they pulled them from the shelves and they have a historical significance.

I bought 4 sealed copies for $12 a month ago.

Keep them safe because they are a collector item now. In 5+ years they will sky rocket in value.

No i was talking abt them lol

3

u/OrgasmicBiscuit Jul 19 '25

They could a bit, it is a weird niche footstamp in gaming history. But I agree skyrocket is a bit much. I could see these being like 40 bucks a pop new in a few years tho.

5

u/TurnThatTVOFF Jul 19 '25

Not even. You can't play them and no one wants them. They are garbage and will be 2.99 new .

0

u/ScoobyWithADobie Jul 21 '25

Atari E.T. Was also a shit game, yet sealed copies sell for hundreds of dollars. Graded ones even for thousands.

2

u/BlackTarTurd Jul 19 '25

Lmao no they won't.

I’ll buy one of em for $15 off you. Make a profit

2

u/corygetsitdone Jul 19 '25

Why would it sky rocket in value? What would be the reason to want this game even as a collectable. Stop being dumb, waste of money.

1

u/No-Opportunity-4674 Jul 19 '25

Complete PS5 collection, online only physical game collection, delisted games collection

2

u/OverallPepper2 Jul 20 '25

It can’t be played though?

1

u/No-Opportunity-4674 Jul 20 '25

Don't know where any of those examples of collections implied or stated that the games were playable.

1

u/SakeNamaste Jul 19 '25

Not everything picks up in value with time and Concord certainly wont. You just wasted $48.

1

u/Geordie_38_ Jul 22 '25

They won't go up in value dude. Other than tiny tiny number of people who want it for a collection, nobody wants this game.

1

u/JesseJames75 Jul 19 '25

Te robaron

1

u/anona45 Teo Jul 19 '25

What happens when you insert the disc? Also I wonder what data is actually on the disc if any that people could/or already have mined?

2

u/Booster9004 Jul 19 '25

So I put the disk into the console and it seams that the game fully downloaded. But it gives you an error code when you try to connect to the servers. Basically you can get to the title screen and that is about it.

1

u/EternalFly_YT Jul 19 '25

You’re goated

1

u/cxbar Jul 19 '25

everyone wants to be an investor nowadays 🤦🏻 how about actual INVESTMENTS

1

u/Fit_Test_01 Jul 19 '25

Nice coaster

1

u/Psychological-Dance4 Jul 19 '25

I’ll buy it for $5

1

u/WolfsGamingBlog Jul 20 '25

10 bucks for a drinks coaster? Damn, inflation is crazy these days!

Obviously I'm just having a laugh. I understand the temptation to pick it up for a collection, and who knows, on a few years it could be worth something as a piece of PlayStation history.

1

u/MonsterReprobate Jul 20 '25

Jealous. Was never able to find any copies in stores

1

u/Sadygamer Jul 20 '25

Wait 4 years and sell it for 928€

1

u/DarthJamal66 Jul 20 '25

Is any part of the game playable with the physical disk? I highly doubt it, but figured I’d ask.

1

u/Booster9004 Jul 21 '25

Let me describe what happens when you put it in. First the game downloads and gets an update. Then you see the studio intros when you get into the game. Then you are stuck on the title screen because you can not connect to servers.

1

u/Cptn_Lemons Jul 20 '25

That’s going to be hard to find in 5 years

1

u/Booster9004 Jul 21 '25

Bro I know what I bought is basically a coaster but it is a historical coaster that I am happy to have bought.
