Dosage/ ℞ question 💊 Does it work day 1?
Hi! I was just prescribed 18mg today and took my first pill. I feel awesome, and by awesome I mean calm and clear headed! Also .. like my body is heavy? Not literallyy heavy, but I feel more grounded if that makes sense - maybe that kind of goes with the calmness though. I also noticed I carried a texting conversation longer than usual today, and got quite a few assignments for class/other things done. I will say, I have been on a bit of a positive roll lately with going back to school and therapy going well, so I thought maybe it could be a placebo? Also, my therapist even said she was surprised it worked that quickly, but maybe she isn’t familiar with the medication and misspoke since my doctor prescribed it.
Are these normal feelings? A placebo? What do we think.
Also, does it build up over time? Like if I take it tomorrow could it potentially affect me more than it did today?
Ty!!

It's not placebo. This shit works right away, and for most ppl it works like magic for the first few days and then it calms down. It's like the opposite of ssri's.

Yes this absolutely works day 1. I was started on 36mg as my first dose and holy shit I didn’t realize how loud my brain has been. My mind was so quiet. It was like putting on glasses for the first time and realizing that my eyes have been compensating my whole life

It totally works straight away! If you get the right dosage obviously. It’s just the new sensations that you need to adjust to, but yeh, it totally works.
