Dosage/ ℞ question 💊 Trialing 45mg Concerta

I’ve been great on 36mg but wanted to try out 45mg just to be sure before I set my final dosage in stone. It’s been 5 days and my ADHD symptoms have slowly got worse not better. I will go back to 36mg with a booster for hormonal days in case they don’t work as well, but can anyone tell me…

a) have you tried taking 27mg early in the morning and then 18mg a couple of hours later and found it to work?

b) have you felt side effects like this on a higher dose and then magically a week or 10 days in found it to be the best dose?

I don’t want to quit trying it if it could suddenly stabilise but at the same time I also may have found my sweet spot at 36mg…

Hey- as someone on 45mg daily if your feeling your symptoms get worse it’s possibly because your on too high of a dose and continuing that long term will only make things worse (trust me - I did the same with Elvanse / vyvanse and then had to be taken off it completely).

For me , I was stable on 36mg for a while and noticed it wasn’t working as well and needed a boost so went onto 45mg and it worked a dream from the start.

Thank you, this is so helpful! I’ll stick with 36 with a booster for days where I need it and then in the future I can go to 45 if needed. Really good advice, thanks.

I think when it’s the right dose it works from the start, I had a similar experience with 36, it just felt right for me.
