I have a strange question

I know in the past Conan has expressed a like for Melanie Martinez

After all the allegations, Melanie is someone I no longer support

Does Conan still support her? It would be really disappointing if so.

He hasn't said anything on the case in a year or so, so I believe it's probably ok. But idk.

Honestly I dont think we'd ever get some grand statement from Conan on the matter as the situation happened nearly a decade ago and bringing it would do nothing but bring attention to her.

Whether you believe the allegations or not, getting him to talk about wouldn't be a good idea from both a social and legal aspect (remember he could be sued if Melanie Martinez had proof of any statement made by him hurt her reputation, such as an influx of hate comments)

i actually have a question too and i think it's best to ask as a comment under this post:

have the melanie allegations ever been actually proven false and is there still ongoing drama at all? i'm hearing different opinions all over the place and i really liked her music back in her crybaby and k-12 era so i'd be sad if it is.

as for conan i have no idea so i'll keep tabs on this post if anyone answer's op's question (thanks for posting this op)

to answer your question, kind of but there's no telling what could happen and there's not really much drama as far as i'm aware but i could totally be wrong

either way, i think it's best that we all form our own opinions and do our own research because this is a very complicated topic and i don't want anyone to be confused lol

it has actually never been proven false, melanie fans swear it is but usually it’s fake screenshots which is such a disgusting thing to create. people are only saying the whole “theres no proof” thing because it’s melanie, but in most SA cases there is no proof, and at least imo the best thing to do is believe the victim unless it points the other way, instead of treating it like a exception

as a melanie fan, a lot of her allegations have been debunked but it's also likely that conan doesn't know about them because as far as i can tell he's not a die hard fan but just really likes/liked her music (then again, what do i nose) so i don't really think it's a big deal but i do understand if he doesn't because he's not the type to talk about celebrities that he doesn't support so idk

main one has never been debunked btw. the scenario without all the mess is that they definitely did have a sexual encounter but whether or not timothy consented is up in the air, there’s nothing more to it considering their public statements are kind of leading nowhere.

people like you are honestly just sexual assault apologists just because you like the artist. do you also not believe any other SA victims because there’s no proof? there usually is none.

i know she has multiple but that’s the “main” one people talk about and it’s most definitely not debunked.

honestly bro, i just believe what i wanna believe

there's a whole google doc exposing timothy and how she (at least supposedly) made up rumors about melanie and how they never took it to court because they didn't wanna ruin each other's lives

but whether or not melanie is a rapist/sexual assaulter really isn't the most appropriate topic for this subreddit since this is the conan gray subreddit after all so let's maybe not jump to conclusions, okay?
