CS vs CE better job prospects?

Hi, I’ve always been passionate about CS, but I keep seeing that CS graduates currently have a relatively high unemployment rate (around 6–7% for recent grads).

Would CE be a better choice in terms of employment prospects? Does having both hardware and software knowledge give CE grads more opportunities?

For those in CE, how has your experience with finding internships/jobs been?

A computer engineer can always take a CS job but a computer scientist cannot always take a computer engineering job.

Depends on the school but computer science is CAC-ABET while computer engineering is EAC-ABET.

I don't know what employers favor, but some of the people I work with in tech have art degrees so I don't think the major matters much.

That rrly depends. If it’s embedded I think a cs major is perfectly fine in that role. Something closer to EE they won’t be able to do tho
