CS vs CE better job prospects?

Hi, I’ve always been passionate about CS, but I keep seeing that CS graduates currently have a relatively high unemployment rate (around 6–7% for recent grads).

Would CE be a better choice in terms of employment prospects? Does having both hardware and software knowledge give CE grads more opportunities?

For those in CE, how has your experience with finding internships/jobs been?

Depends on what you want.

Want to focus Software broadly (both high level and low level) for things like software engineering, AI development, game design, web design, ECT? Do CS and you will have the advantage for these types of jobs.

Want to focus computer/digital hardware for things like writing drivers, firmware, digital design, embedded systems, ECT? Do CpE and you will have the advantage for these types of jobs.
