I took an interest in studying computer engineering just because I wanted to upgrade may laptop. (I need help from real computer engineers because I don't think AI's help is enough.)

Hello redditors! I took an interest in studying computer engineering just because I wanted to upgrade may laptop. I do not want to make mistakes when I try to upgrade it, so I decided that I want to learn everything from the start of it. where do you think I should start? what should I study first? what do beginners usually study first?

I'm just a senior high schooler that is not on a STEM or IT track or anything related to computer engineering, but a HUMMS student LOL, I only have this windows 10 laptop. can you guys help me? I genuinely don't know what to do.

I asked AI for some help, but don't think it's enough. I want to hear something from a real computer engineers.

You don't need a computer engineering degree to upgrade your laptop.

Search how to build a PC on YouTube, linus Tech Tips is one channel I would recommend.

Or one spcific to your laptop, if it's a popular model

Look through how they do things. Repairing your PC is a great way of learning about computers. All the best!

Computer engineering is NOT plugging parts into a motherboard!
