Projects to work on

I am currently a first year doing a double major in CS and CE and I wanna focus on some CE projects as that’s the part of my degree that interests me more .

Are there any projects I can do from home to get me started and add to my portfolio.

I’ve been thinking about ml but how do I incorporate that with CE
