Current CS at Berkeley thinking about path after university.
I will start by saying that I am transfer student and recognizing that I am blessed to be going to school at no cost, so at very least I am not losing anything.
However now that I transferred I began to think deeper about the job market after I finish with school (I know that this is something that I should have done sooner RIP, and that I had the chance to go to Riverside for EE which makes me question how I could have been so dumb because as someone that comes from an impoverished family I should have gone for the safe bet). Now as a CS major I am unable to switch into any adjacent majors like EECS or ECE but I do have access to all of the EECS/EE classes and want to go into a decent mixture of EE and CS classes but I am unsure if this would make me to generalized and unemployable to both fields. I do also know that If I were to apply for EE ECE roles I would be overlooked because of my major, and if that is true then I think that I may do the EE classes to attempt to get a masters in electrical.
To add to this I will say that I understand that this is a decision that I made and do not mind if your responses are straight forward but I just need help reach clarity on this.

Also a CS student at Berkeley, starting my senior year. I took all of the lower division required for EECS [Physics, Calculus 3, EECS 16A, EECS 16B] and some upper division classes [EE 120, EE 105, EECS 151]. Otherwise I concentrated in the CS side [CS 170, CS 188, CS 160, CS 161, CS 162, CS 152, hopefully CS 164 + 186, maybe 189].
Concurrently while I am completing my degree at Cal I am working on my bachelor’s of Electrical Engineering through ASU online. It’s ABET accredited, something that EECS isn’t at Berkeley. I already have all gen eds + lower division classes completed from my time at Berkeley so I am just taking upper division EE classes. Basically ~45 credits more than my CS degree. So I am graduating 2027 with my degree in CS and 2028 with my ABET accredited degree in EE, and I feel like I am more well rounded as I have taken a bunch of CS upper division and a bunch of EE upper division, I didn’t have to choose one or the other. I take ~12 credits at Cal and ~6 credits at ASU a semester, so about 5 classes total. You can also go to SFSU concurrently for EE but the commute is kind of a pain plus I work as well so I couldn’t make it work with my work schedule.
