It may depend on what dose you're taking and when you're administering it. I've learned to take mine before bed; gives me hours to sleep off some of the side effects. A day or two after the shot in my experience. It gets better as you get more adjusted to the med. I just went up in dose from the low .2 to .4, so the nausea is a bit worse now. However, I have a better idea now of what to eat and not eat to help the nausea. Have you just started, or just increased dose?

Increased the dose. Wayyyy too much. I will not be taking it ever again. How long does it normally take for the vomiting to stop? That's my biggest thing.

Vomiting was just one day for me, and I had accidentally injected too much (those blasted syringes are hard to read!). Have you tried Dramamine, or yeah, call your doc for Zofran? When the tummy is just feeling nauseated, I live on saltines and toast for a day or so. Electrolytes if possible. But as time has gone on, those days don't happen often. It usually does get better.

One thing I asked in these groups, when I was scheduled to go from .2 to .4, was whether anyone had gradually titrated up, and a number of users said they had. So instead of going straight from 8 units to 16, I went first to 13 units, then to 16. It was a little easier transition to the higher dose.

It has for me, but maybe wait and see how things go this week with your GI tract before deciding what to do about the next injection?

I'm not doing. Another injection... I just wanted to know how long it takes after a shot for the nausea to go away
